2.1.0 LFG Tool (zero changes)

Looking for a "LFG Tool" that is actually viable.

  • One that allows me to look for PvP groups.
  • One that allows me to look for PvE groups below my level.
  • One that allows me to look for groups that are on quests that start immediately.
  • One that allows me to filter based on the class/spec that is needed.
  • One that remembers my settings and is searchable and configurable.
  • etc . . .

The channel change coming up will make this tool even more worthless, as people will simply use the tool to get into the channel.

Blizzard, make a VIABLE LFG Tool please.

I know you based your LFG Tool on EQ's, but even it had a few features that were better: http://everquest.station.sony.com/legacy/f_lfg.jsp

Blizzard, what is being done to deliver on a TWO YEAR promise to make a LFG Tool?

PTR 2.1 Notes - "Players will now be able to access the "Looking For Group Channel" by joining the "Looking For Group/Looking for More" tool."

There will be more changes made to the Looking For Group tool in the future. This change is in for the 2.1 patch however.

    Q u o t e:

Why is the answer always "in the future"?

Because we do not have time machines in order to implement things in the past? :)

Unfortunately, there are only so many hours in a day and the team has a very lengthy "to do" list they have been steadily working on. If we could reorder time to get more accomplished, we would, but we're not quite done getting the time machine up and running.

    Q u o t e:

Neth, is an efficient platform for LFG not a high enough priority to warrant a reallocation of available man-hours? This is a massively multiplayer game; one would think that grouping would be integral.

It is just one of many features that is high on the priority list. It's easier to manage tasks and timing from your end of the fence, but on ours, things are very very busy on many things at once and all of them are equally important.

We will keep everyone informed on the progress of improvements as much as we can, however.
