WoW podcasts FTW --- homemade warcraft radio
by Tantra | 03/04/2007 10:12:07![]() At work or while I'm doing quests in Azeroth, I like to listen to music, radio and to podcasts. Here is a list of my favorite WoW-podcasts. You can download the episodes from the website or subscribe to the podcasts via iTunes (or some other service i dont know about)... for free off course. If you dont know what a podcast is, then follow one of these links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasting http://www.podcastalley.com/what_is_a_podcast.php http://www.apple.com/itunes/store/podcasts.html 1. Taverncast http://www.taverncast.com "Taverncast was created after the cast mused how entertaining it would be if we recorded the conversations held at our weekly pub gatherings in the real world. Now, recorded "Live" in the rowdy pub atmosphere of the Thunderbrew Distillery, Taverncast brings you a weekly round of tips, tricks, tales and talk about the World of Warcraft MMO. From PvP to RP, basics to high end strategies, the cast covers the gameworld with a unique wit and inviting style. Pull up a seat, grab an ale and join us for our weekly virtual pub gathering." ---> very well edited, good content, good tips, very funny, one of the host's name is Infernal Bill 2. Analog Hole Gaming http://www.analogholegaming.com Chris, Mike and Princess Christie give you news, facts and their unsensored oppinions about WoW, tech, gaming in general and Christies slightly retarded parents. And is Christie a real woman? or a 12-year old eunuch? Contains strong language, so if you are underage or a nancyboy, dont listen to this. ---> Weekly episodes, very funny, probably not suitable for an underage audience (if they listen to podcasts at all) 3. The Instance http://www.myextralife.com/wow/ Three mature (you know, 'old') men talking about WoW and being a geek. They have weekly tips, tricks, mod of the week, etc... They are also leaders of the biggest guild in the entire warcraft universe, so you can also learn something about guildmanagement from them. ---> Weekly episodes, good content, very professional, good tips and fun to listen to. 4. World of Warcast http://www.worldofwarcast.com Renata and Starman talk about their life on Azeroth (and lately in Outland). They have been to places where most players never get. High level content and just very nice to listen to. Renata and Starman have cooperated with the people of the upcoming documentary 'second skin', about MMO's and virtual life. ---> interesting, professional content. Nice voices. Nice to listen to. 5. Wowcast http://www.wowcast.com Alachia tells you about WoW and what she calls 'the meta-verse', or the virtual world of online life. Contains high-level content. Also lots of psychological and philosofical thinking going on. ---> Nice to listen to. goes beyond the surface. If you know a nice WoW-podcast yourself, feel free to post it with a small description and a link. It would also be nice if this could be stickied, because these people deserve some support from Blizzard... [ Post edited by Tantra ] |
