Why would someone paint a fingernail black?

I've just started this job and one of the managers really high up who weighs like 20 stone and is around 5 foot 2, prob 45 or so paints one fingernail black... (left hand, the poop one i think) Is he emo? Is it so we talk about his fingernail and not his weight? Gay? I googled it to see if I was missing out on something but nothing! |
