Upcoming Mage nerfs

Ok, not sure what to think of Blizzard and their intentions. Frankly, I'm tired of it and am probably switching class after being a mage since release, because TBC went from being a cool new addition to a "please push release back further" kinda thing. Instead of hopefully seeing some nice improvements when it comes to class balancing, the weak get weaker and the strong get stronger, it seems.

Let's see the collection I've found so far on mages:

- AoE nerfed.
- Aggro reduction nerfed.
- Counterspell on global cooldown.
- Elemental Precision nerfed.
- Ignite stacking nerfed.
- Impact now has diminishing returns.
- Frostbite now has diminishing returns.
- PoM and Combustion share cooldown.
- Dragon Breath and CoC share cooldown.
- Empowered Fireball pre-release nerfed.
- Ice Lance damage twice pre-release nerfed.
- Molten Fury pre-release nerfed.

- Weapon damage vs spell damage does not scale equally.
- Damage crits nerfed, but healing crits are not.
- 4-5k crit heals vs 1.5k crit Fireballs. Logic?

TBC isn't released yet, thank god, but if nothing changes and this keeps going for another month, I'm retiring my mage. The class no longer feels like it once did and neither fits the picture I personally have of what a mage should do. Blizzard is apparently of another opinion and view, and in all their right, but what really bothers me is when it comes to class balancing. That's when I really wonder if they know what the heck they are doing. Maybe things changed when they lost developers some time ago, I don't know, just speculating. I just don't like what I see and neither can I understand it, no matter how hard I try.

I think the keywords here are:

Q u o t e:
TBC isn't released yet

Take a deep breath, chill, and wait for the expansion and see how everything works out. Things will be tweaked and fixed and whatnot.
