Thinking of rolling a lock

So yeah I havent played any other class than my warrior but Ive been thinking of rolling some caster alt since Blizz seems to hate melee classes. I thought about rolling a mage but I heard they take skill in pvp so that kinda sucks cos I just wanna pwn without having to learn to play. So would a lock be a good choice for me?

PS. Can you tell me a good spec for pvp
