The Reality
by Abrendus | 09/10/2007 13:27:20![]() A friend of mine, has played World of Warcraft since it was released. He’s been an active player, however, he has never ever leveled his own character. Never. He always buys new accounts and accounts via E-Bay and such. Okey, one thing is for sure; he’s a lazy person who thinks about gear – and that’s about it. He usually buys high-levels with epic gear, but sometimes he buys characters with blue gear aswell. Me myself have leveled all of my characters by myself, and I must admit that it sometimes was a living hell to level, but to actually enjoy the game, after my opinion, you must experience all of the stages throughout the game. Okay, it may be boring, but if you really put efforts into it, you’ll make it. And along the way, you’ll get friends which will be the reason why you actually continue on, leveling, and it is friends that you do it all for. Without friends, who shall you brag to when you have recieved the first epic of your life? Who? Random people? Well, yeah, but they haven’t seen you and they don’t know you – therefore they can’t be… surprised. I got another reason why you should level on your own. While you are killing, socializing and questing, you will get to know your own character better. So that you learn the functions and such of your spells after some leveling. It is that, that makes and forms a good and great player. A player whom knows his character very, very well, is, after my opinion, the best and unbreakable. When people buy an account with a level 70 in it, they usually are too lazy to level their own character, sounds rude and severe – but it’s the truth of it. They think they have won. They think they are the best. They actually think they can beat anything and everyone. Take a Warlock, level 70, for instance, thousands of spells, cruses and afflictions to use. But for an idiot who hasn’t learned to play as a Warlock, is that easy? No, of course it isn’t. Some might say that when you buy an account, you’ll get used to the spells and such, but that’s rarely happening – as the player won’t understand what to use, as there are a lot of different situations in combat. You might stumble upon another Warlock, who actually knows what pet to use, or you might fall into the arms of a Priest or a Warrior. You’re dead meat. Unskilled and untrained. A person who buys an account is like a noble, fat man with a huge Viking axe. Totally useless. As I’ve said before, when you level yourself (a tip is to level with a friend, much faster and more fun) you get to know what spells and abilities to use in different occasions. You die a lot, but you will probably learn of your mistakes, and as you hit level 70 – you can beat anyone! It doesn’t matter what gear you have. All that matters is how you take advantage of your class, play it well – and maybe how you specc concerning talent builds. Me myself bought an account once, and I really regret it. I felt happy to get a level 70, BUT, I didn’t feel… the pride of being an epic Warrior. I didn’t feel it! Why? Because I hadn’t leveled the character! It wasn’t my property! I payed for it, but I couldn’t feel proud about it, as the character didn’t have a story or such. So, whatever you do, don’t buy accounts, nor sell them. Quote: “Know Yourself”. Know your character! Play it nice and good, and you will feel the power! Oh, and by the way, all bought accounts will be compromised some time, in a way or another. Thank you for listening. |
