Thank you for resticking raid group lists

Dear CMs,

Thank you for resticking the raid group threads. I appreciate the gesture and I hope that the divisiveness that the recent motions to target raid groups will fade and we'll have a friendly heterogeneous server community returning here.

Wasn't me re-stickying them, but anyway; no problem. :) The unsticking was a misunderstanding in the first place, resulting from an unclear message going through several stages of interpretation before being put into action. Our apologies for that. Hopefully nobody took lasting damage.

On another note, it's a bit disappointing how some individuals immediately jumped to the conclusion that a single named blue poster was responsible for it and started verbally harassing that person. For clarity; he wasn't.

Being disappointed and upset is one thing. Making is a personal matter and resorting to harassment is not, nor is other violations of the forum guidelines. I really hope people will keep that in mind for the future.

To address some additional points...

Q u o t e:
*) Enforced but otherwise unusual forum policies are stickied before enforced, possibly with their rational explained upfront. We have seen repeated locking of threads that never had a sticky explaining the rationel, also it was a change in behavior from CMs that hit unsuspecting and longstanding (and above all innocent) members of the community.
*) Explain why set rule does achieve it's goal while not unduly limiting members who don't violate set server rules?
*) If groups of community members feel discriminated by said rule it be explained why the rule in fact is equal for all posters and doesn't single out people who engage a particular but - in principle - acceptable behavior, like organising raiding?

Also can you tell us if you as a group of CMs intend to continue the practice of targeting raid group recruiting posts and how that particular action conforms with the requirements of people set by the RP server policies?

As with the unsticking of the raid group threads the locking of some recruitment threads was the result of a misunderstanding. We definitely see your concerns and understand the reactions, which is why this was brought up and the misunderstanding discovered. There's no additional policy which could be stickied or clarified. Normal forum guidelines apply.

We of course appreciate that people keep in mind what "turf" they're on when posting on a specific forum, but that's for all forums and not specific to RP realm forums, maybe especially the class forums.

As closing words, please do keep in mind the stickied notification about Blizzard attention on realm forums mainly being for moderation, and then mainly when people report posts. We don't regularly drop by each, so please don't overreact if we don't respond to your posts on these forums.
