Tarren Mill - DEAD AGAIN
by Compassion | 28/02/2010 19:53:30![]() Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and now today Sunday. 5/7 days where you can't raid because the server goes offline, again only Tarren Mill. Considering very few guilds raid Friday and Saturday the entire server has basically lost a weeks worth of progress. Nice one. [ Post edited by Compassion ] |
by Tailyda | 28/02/2010 23:18:44![]() We have been monitoring this situation all night and are aware that there are a number of players that are concerned that this issue was a result of a player-driven exploit. However, after careful review, it does not appear that this is the case. We are continuing to watch the realm and work towards resolving any issue which hinders our players' enjoyment of the game. Thank you for your continued feedback during this difficult time and we will continue to update you once we have further information. by Tailyda | 28/02/2010 23:28:10![]() This is sadly not something I have an answer for right now :( But as I said, when we have more information, we will let you know. by Natryndon | 01/03/2010 14:56:03![]() Here is a small update for you. As you may know, we performed a rolling restart on the realm yesterday evening. So far, the solution that our tech Goblins implemented is holding up very well; they have not been able to replicate any of these alleged exploits and they have not noticed any significant latency spikes since the restart. During my shift today I myself have been physically logged in to Tarren Mill whilst I work in an attempt to ‘put myself in your shoes’ if anything did go wrong and I must say that the performance has been extremely good so far. However, our technicians are going to be watching the realm intently for the next couple of days and they will know about any issues with the realm long before you guys do. I am confident that they will do their very best, as downtime of any kind is not something that any of us wants. Obviously I can't comment here regarding possible compensation or FCMs or anything like that as IGCS have no control over such matters. However, I will once again apologise sincerely and wholeheartedly for the disruption caused on your realm recently. Now, I’m willing to leave this thread open for the time being, but please be aware that bad language, defamatory mud-slinging and name-calling is not appreciated and cannot be tolerated. We have been easy on the banstick so far as we all fully appreciate the amount of frustration being caused by this issue, but if such unnecessary behaviour continues then we will unfortunately have to begin taking further action. All of the Forum Representatives here are doing the very best to gather what information they can and feed it to you guys and no amount of screaming, shouting or insulting will make the information appear to us any faster. Many thanks and I hope that you all have a very pleasant evening. [ Post edited by Natryndon ] Natryndon - IGCS Forum Representative 5 hanaka?! That only gives us 28 hours! |

by Glauzuu | 02/03/2010 00:28:35![]() We would like to give you some more information on the current status of Tarren Mill; we have had our engineers update the hardware for the server to help resolve the crashes. We will still be keeping a very close eye on the Tarren Mill server to see how well this has improved the stability, and we would like to reiterate that the recent crashes were not caused by exploits. With regards to compensation, this is not something that we can comment on but we have forwarded all your feedback to the relevant people. If compensation is to be offered, you will be informed through the appropriate channels. [ Post edited by Glauzuu ] CS Forum Representative "Now that's what I call high quality H2O." |
by Irylinne | 02/03/2010 20:23:01![]() Greetings all, Just a quick update to let you know that we're continuing our efforts to resolve this issue. Your complaints are not falling on deaf ears and we're aware of the disruption that is being caused. Please accept our apologies, and our thanks for your incredible patience. We will continue to update this thread regularly with new information. Thanks again. IGCS Forum Representative β’ EN Everybody stand back! I know regular expressions! |
by Tailyda | 02/03/2010 23:49:34![]() While I can appreciate that there are many of you wondering what is happening and why the realm keeps crashing, please be aware that any information we give to you must be accurate and given at a time when we start to see more stability to prevent us having to correct ourselves. A lot of you are angry about the recent events and I can fully sympathise with you about this, however please understand that we are taking this matter just as seriously and while I am sadly not able to go into details at this time, rest assured that not only are we investigating, we are also actively making changes to improve the situation. All your feedback is being heard and addressed and while you are welcome to continue discussing the situation, please remember our forums rules when posting. If you would like a reminder, then you can find them here. Welcome to the Customer Service Forums! Welcome to the Customer Service Forums! What I can clear up though is that this is not the actions of a single individual or anything to do with recent rumours about a specific exploit. by Tailyda | 03/03/2010 01:00:47![]() Hello Toriann, At no point have I ever said that there was never an exploit and I apologise if I have confused you. What I am saying is that the matter has been investigated and the cause of the exploit has been resolved. As such any rumours that this is causing the server to crash are not correct. We are however as I have said in one of my other posts, continuing to monitor all aspects of the realm as we work on resolving the overall issue. by Irylinne | 03/03/2010 18:39:45![]() Greetings all, Wryxian has just posted an update regarding the status of Tarren Mill in the realm's forum; here's a link: http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=12730505453&sid=1 If you have any questions or comments I recommend replying in that thread so that our community team can see them directly. :) IGCS Forum Representative β’ EN Everybody stand back! by Nephadne | 08/03/2010 21:54:27![]() I, along with the other CS reps on this forum, very much sympathise and understand your collective frustrations about the current situation (indeed more than you will know). However I am sure you can appreciate that we are bound to provide only information that is a) correct, and b) given to us. You can be certain that none of the responses we give here are scripted or automated. Our jobs consist of answering and helping players who come here with questions falling within the scope of our influence, passing on the concerns and sentiments of you the players to those higher up (yes, we are doing this), and maintaining this forum as a useful and expletive-free environment. We know that you are angry, and that you want and need to vent, but we do need you to remember our forum rules in the process. Your responses should not need to come at the expense of other visitors to these forums (who may inevitably end up caught in the cross-fire). To this end, we will keep editing or locking posts that are in breach of the guidelines, and I find it hard to see why that would surprise any of you. The simple fact that there are edited responses in this thread should at least provide some indication that there are Blizzard employees reading it, and that we are not simply ignoring your situation.
