IC:
*In the dark alleys of the city, you hear a voice from a dark corner*
“Hey, you there... you look kind of strong. You wanna make some quick cash? Sure you do, for a strong guy like you, I know just the thing. ”
*The person slips you a small flyer, with the headline “Strongest of the Horde II”, printed on an old piece of used paper*

OOC: So its about time! Strongest of the Horde II (aka SOTH2) has finally arrived!
To check out a bit how the last one went, here is a GREAT article: http://www.aeacides.co.uk/ascendancy/viewtopic.php?t=1747&start=0

Strongest of the Horde is a HORDE ONLY fighting event, however Alliance is more than welcome to drop by to WATCH.

DATE: Saturday, 5th of May (at the time of this post, in 3 weeks), at the Gurubashi Arena., 20:00 Gametime

I am aiming for a total of 32 signups. If more sign up, I will announce randomly picked fights to get the total number down to 32.

Last, this is a ROLEPLAYING event, meaning EVERYTHING in /say and /yell and /emotes should be considered IC. I say it again, ROLEPLAYING EVENT. Stay IC. Don’t be an idiot. Keep leetspeak out. Etc.

Now, onto the rules:
1) Signing
The actual sign up is AT the event. It costs 5 gold per person to participate (this gold goes to the winner). I will be at the arena from 18:30, you will NEED to talk to me THERE, and give me the 5 gold as well as signing up. Whispers going “I’m coming soon, I’m signing up” don’t work. Be there, sign up.
ALSO, I would be EXTREMELY happy if people signed up HERE as well, so I can have an idea of how many people are gonna be there. Fighting starts at 20:00 GAMETIME, sharp. Sign up before that, and come in good time, many might want to sign up at the very end.

2) – where and when to fight
Once you enter the arena, the fight begins. It doesn’t matter if you weren’t ready, if you forgot to repair, etc. Once your in, your fair game. I will announce who the next fighters are, and they will have 30 seconds to get into the arena, if one fails to do this, the person remaining will be declared the winner. Who enters first, is up to you. Just get in. You have 30 seconds. When your in, your fair game (for your opponent of course, who will also have to be in the arena), even if you’re the first person in the arena.
You are NOT allowed to buff up before your name is called. All buffs must be applied during the 30 second notice!
Fight is ONLY allowed in the arena. People fighting outside will be thrown out.
Note: You will not be allowed to be stealthed while entering the arena, since I’ll need to see you get in there.

3) Winning. There are 2 ways to win:
2,1) Killing your opponent.
2,2) Your opponent leaving the arena.

Note that even if your opponent says they give up, declare you the winner, whatever. The fights not over. A winner is ONLY declared if one person leaves the arena, or one person is dead. That’s it. Now, whether or not you let the other person live and leave, once they give up, yelling “God, don’t kill me, think of my wife and children!” is up to you. I personally say go for it, they didn’t deserve to live anyway :p
(note that we will have medics/priests on the site, when you die, a priest will ress you. I don’t expect anyone to actually kill their char here, so don’t worry, the priests will bring you back from the brink of death!)

4) What Goes.
Think about the Arena system, and you got it pretty good.
The following things are banned: Class abilities that have a longer cooldown than 10 minutes (this also applies to any self-res abilities). All engineering that has a “use” effect (this goes for grenades, etc too. But for example, you can use engi stuff that is simply “good gear”, but as said, not with any “use” effect). You are NOT allowed to be buffed by anyone else, only your own buffs are allowed. Pot’s are NOT allowed (this obviously does not apply to warlock healthstones and mage managems. Both of course only usable by the creator themselvs). Tailorings nets are NOT allowed.
Bandages ARE allowed!
Trinkets and gear with "Use" abilities that are gotten from either mobs/instances or honor/rep/bg's ARE allowed!

5) Who you fight is random.
Classes, level, gear, anything, will not be taken into consideration. You might fight your best friend, your worst enemy, an epic fella, a mage while you’re a warrior, or a warlock while you’re a mage. Its all good.

6) Declining to fight/enter the arena will make you lose the battle.

7) It’s the classic match setup, with the winners of the first round then fighting, then the winners of the second round, etc etc, depending on how many people enter.

8) There is no second place.
No little prize for the people that really tried. It’s the winner who takes it all.

9) The prize.
The prize for winning will be 50 gold from me, plus the money collected from fighters signing up and audience entrance fee’s. I will of course be happy if anyone wants to make a donation, to raise the prize money more.
Currently, I expected the prize money to end up around 250 gold.

Rules for the Audience
It will cost 1 gold to watch the event (this money goes to the winner). Sadly, this means Alliance gets in free :S
NO fighting.
Stay out of the arena.

I NEED HELP THOUGH:
I will need at least 1 medic (priest).
I will need at least 2 guards, to a) keep trouble makers away, get people out of the arena if they jump in, etc. b) collect entrance fees from people who want to see the event.
Please sign up here in this thread, if your willing to take either of those duties. PLEASE only sign up if your sure you can make it... last time I had an event like this, I was in serious trouble because suddenly non of the people that signed up (except one who was in Ragefire Chasm) were online.
MEDICS SO FAR (could possibly use one more, max):
Jaktara
Dalethas
GUARDS SO FAR (could use 1-2 more)
Otano
Ziaah

Again, Alliance is more than welcome to join and WATCH. Because of this, while not a rule, I plead both Horde AND Alliance to turn PvP OFF, to make it that much harder for the griefers to ruin the event.
Another thing, while not a rule, I hope people will dress up for the event. Get some RP clothes on, and get with it. Don’t just come in your random grinding armor :’< But again, not a rule.

Anyway, I hope the event will be as succesfull as the last one, and to see you all there!

Again, you can see pics and articles from “Strongest of the Horde 1”, with Hidrasactum as a winner, here:
