Hello off-topic. I know this isn't the *best* place in the world to ask for football (for me soccer) advice and questions, but I figure you guys will know more about football than any of my American counterparts. I have a few questions I'd like to have answered seeing as I have a football star in a story I'm writing but I know NOTHING about football. (well I know a lot about American football... >.>)

1. How many times must a player be penalized with the yellow card (I called it carded >.>) to get ejected from the game?

2. What are the *key* positions on the field outside of goalie?

3. Outside of goalie, what is the most important position on the field?

4. Do players play offense *and* defense while on the field, or are there positions more akin to defense than offense? (again ignore goalie, I know what they do. :) )

5. Who is/was your favorite football player?

6. Who is/was, in your opinion, the best football player(s) of all time?

7. Who is/was the best football team of all time?

8. Who is/was your favorite football team?

9. Why is there 90 minutes in a game, but sometimes they play longer? (that seems silly, once time is up time is freaking up.)

And, of course I have to ask.

10. What do you think of Mia Hamm?

Everything else I'll try to Wiki up, though any other additional comments would be highly appreciated. :)

(P.S. I love England's football team, then Manchester and Liverpool. :p )
