"Warriors of the Horde!
Brave fighters, hunters, soldiers and mercenaries!
How long have you been standing aside, waiting for the right moment to test your might?
Do your blades thirst, do your muscles pulse impatiently as you wait for an opportunity to put your strenght to the test?
The time has come for you to prove how skilled you are in a single battle tournament.
Face fierce opponents, show your power and endurance and earn the title of Champion while fighting to honour the spirits of the fallen ones!
For glory and honour!
Should you accept this challenge, should you decide to take the Trial of Blood, come to Grom'gol Base Camp, two weeks from now.
The Earthfury Clan offers a fair price for the one who claims the victory.
Signed: Chieftain Torakk Bloodrain of the Earthfury Clan"
The Earthfury Clan is organizing a small event on the 16th of August 19:00 game time, involving IC duels with people from all over the Horde in order to honour the spirits of the fallen. The winner will recieve a small reward as a sign of their strenght, along with the title of Champion. It will take place in Grom'gol.
The tournament will be parted in two categories:
- Fist fights, where the fighters will not be allowed to use any kind of armor and weaponry and simply /duel. This one will be more for fun rather than championship and people will be awarded depending on their performance.
- The other one is an armed fight, and everyone can use whatever gear they have in RP. Don't bother bringing you PvP sets, it will be a completely an emote fight observed by an officer from the clan. The rules for this one are simple - the participants will do a /roll before each move and thus see if their attack will succeed or fail. I am doing this to avoid any power emoting and it is always fun not to know what will happen to one's attack. If you lose the roll, you can simply choose the most appropriate way your character will fail the next attack of the opponent. After all, this event is meant to be fun and I understand that people don't really like losing.
Everyone can participate, excluding any kinds of spell casters - It is meant to be a fighting tournament, where the participants test their strenght, agility and combat skill, not wizards throwing fireballs at the opponents while they have nothing but a sword.
Those that wish to attend but aren't able to fight could always be just observers and supporters. Priests, shamans, and everyone else capable of healing is welcome to join as the fighters would surely need someone to tend to their wounds between the fights.
As for the fighters, they will have to preliminarily arrange a meeting with me IC (Or someone else of the officers) and take the Trial of Endurance which will show their combat capabilities and we'll decide if they are worthy to participate.
The end of the tournament will be followed by a feast to celebrate the victory of whoever becomes a champion and a brief prayer to the Spirits.
And again, it won't be all about winning or losing ,the point is mainly to have fun.
