I started on a PvE server, got to 60 and started looking for raiding guilds.

I was quickly told that 3 things were REQUIRED:

- numerous fire resists items
- Ony access
- BWL access

That's all fine and good, but there is 1 major trouble.

it's the access key to upper BRS. Getting the pieces of this ley together while doing PUgs is simply impossible or extremely long. Several BRS group runs form, discover that nobody has the key, and disband after a good hour of whining.

Therefore BRS runs are a rarity, even tho several people want to do them.

That's an horrible bottleneck here for recent players who'd like to join the higher end game but cantt because guilds require of them things that are hardly achivable in PUGS given the high luck factor required.

That was my rant.

Do Blizard require that or do some guilds you applied to? At one point I had a very simplistic 60, no tier sets and I still got accepted to a friendly guild who were doing ZG and MC, just because they were nice.

For every UBRS run obviously we needed someone with a key but again there you have the social aspect, we would usually find someone with a key either for a little sum or because they were happy to help.

Perhaps you're just having some bad luck finding the right people, is my point :)

When BC comes out, you might want to get rid of the key thing for UBRS though. On new servers, I don't think people will grind LBRS for that key since they will be moving to outlands soon anyway. Would be a waste of some UBRS quests people still like to do before forever leaving the old level 60 blue instances ;-)
