We typically only lock posts. We only usually delete if a post has swearing in it. We will of course also delete posts or threads that appear to contain personal information, whether it is real or not.

In this case I am referring to addresses, phone numbers and the like. There's no place for those kind of details in a forum that's here for discussing World of Warcraft, and if you see any, please report them. Thanks.

Surely you have to notice the flaws in what you have posted?
If a real name is given out so publicly and so freely, it can easily be turned into an address, phone number and the like through the simple use of the search function on most social networking sites, such as Facebook , Myspace, etc. let alone the use of more complex WHOIS searches.

So please Wryxian, comment on how there WILL BE a widespread divulgence of personal information which stems from the mere usage of the World of Warcraft forums, instead of giving vague replies which are of no help to anyone.

This thread is not giving direct feedback on the Real ID function being implemented to the official World of Warcraft forums, only feedback on the comments previously made by Wryxian, so there is no reason it should be locked or deleted.

Remember that your real name will only show in the forum should you choose to post.
