PTR Help Spot - Q+A

Hopefully we can turn this into a Q+A thread where people can answer problems of other players, so please feel free to post your problem ONCE. If you see your problem already posted please do not post again. If you know the answer to a question please quote the question and post the answer and I will add it to the list below with reference to your help answering it :)

Logging into the character copy

There's a few problems logging into the character copy pages, firstly I'll quote some information:

Page keep refresh when I click "Copy Premade Character"

Solution: If this issue happens for you with Internet Explorer, change browser to Mozilla Firefox. If issue happens in Mozilla Firefox, change browser into Internet Explorer, If it refresh regardless what browser you use, I suggest you update Internet Explorer or your secondary browser.
Regardless of which you use, try the other one. It worked for me every single time.

All thanks go to Rexzorkiller of Balnazzar for this one. I personally never had a problem when clicking Copy Premade Character, so thanks for the info Rex.

Page refreshing when selecting an account
I think everyone has had this problem at some point, where you select your main warcraft account but all it does is refresh the page and ask you to select it again. There's a few solutions although I've only tested some.

1) Keep selecting the account. After a while it will kick you to the login screen, where if you input your account details again it should work. If it doesn't then just keep trying, eventually it will let you access the account.

2) Same as above, but instead of constantly selecting the account until you get logged out, just log out yourself and log back in. It still takes a bit of time but it works.

3) The solution I haven't tested personally: Delete your temporary internet files. Apparently this will completely log you out of the Bnet server and once you log back in it will have no previous knowledge of what you did, essentially resetting everything.

Copying your own character

Character not on PTR
Very simple solution to this problem... time. Just wait, they will appear even if the character copy pending page tells you it was successful. It took roughly 10 hours after being a successful transfer for my Warlock and Druid from Shattered Halls to appear on the PTR. They will appear trust me.

Character transfers available has not decreased yet
This happens, the amount will only change once Blizzard has confirmed the process, so I suggest you only transfer 4 characters and wait for the database to update before you try to transfer more.

Copying premade characters

Character not on PTR
Same as above, give it time. It takes a while for premades to copy since most people prefer to use them over their own characters, for that reason the transfer time is a hell of a lot longer compared to transfering your own characters.

Premade transfers available has not decreased yet
This happens, the amount will only change once Blizzard has confirmed the process, so I suggest you only transfer 4 characters and wait for the database to update before you try to transfer more.

Premade is not on the character copy pending list
Don't be alarmed it was the same for me, give it a few days and just keep checking your character screen in-game. Mine never showed up on the website but I logged in one day and found them all transfered.

Premade Character Copy page refreshing
I've encountered this one, but I'm not sure if it's still the case. Basically, this happened to me back when the premade queue was constantly being taken down and put back up because of how many people were trying to transfer. I would try to transfer a premade and it would refresh on me, after about 3 minutes it was showing me that the queue was full and the premades were temporarily disabled.

I don't know any other reason for this so if anyone else can help please let us know.
