Slorkuz

Greetings,

I thought I would take some time and list some suggestions/questions that we see repeated on these forums almost on a weekly basis or more. The list of frequent suggestions contained below will be updated and/or added to when needed, so be sure to check the list before posting your suggestion!

Thanks!

The List of Frequent Suggestions and Responses:

Realms & Servers

  • Suggestion: (pre-TBC or pre-WotLK Realms) Can you make available pre-TBC/pre-WotLK realms without the expansions enabled for those of us who want that.
  • Answer: We have no plans of making pre-TBC or pre-WotLK realms.
In the words of Kalgan: "Nope, no plans for a classic realm. We plan to keep wow moving forward, even though there are always some that would like to revel in nostalgia. =]"

  • Suggestion: (new realms) Can you open more realms?
  • Answer: Realms are opened when we see a need for it. Opening realms simply for the sake of opening them to let people start fresh on an empty server would result in a bunch of severely underpopulated realms. Eventually, this would lead to a reduced playing experience due to lack of peopl to play/group with. This has also been addressed in the FAQ here: Frequently Asked Questions (Jun 23rd 2009)

Nerfing/Buffing Classes

  • Suggestion: (Nerf <class>) Can you nerf <insert class here> because they are too OP!!!
  • Answer: Suggestions of this type tends to be extremely unconstructive and serves no other purpose than provoking players of the class that you consider to be overpowered.

If you want us to take your suggestion seriously, it is a good idea to be careful with your choice of words and to post proper data and evidence/examples to support your reasoning and argumentation. It is important to be considerate, constructive and thorough in your argumentation when creating such threads, because your thread will get locked if it is interpreted as a nerf thread or if it derails into a flamewar.

Further, class balancing is a constant and self-renewing process. We will make changes to classes when we feel that there is a genuine need for it.
