Overpowered classes (PvP pre BC)
| by Dnightshadow | 09/01/2007 17:16:52 I am starting to feel sick with all the posts in mostly druid forums how druids have become an overpowered class. So I decided to write down my view on PvP as it is now. I am posting this on every class forums btw. U are pvping winning some loosing some. Suddenly u find a druid run up to him and get owned. A bit confused u try again, and loose again. U stand up, walk around the room, clear your head, find a druid and loose agian. And again. Then u make your mission to kill that druid, any druid. U dont care winning or loosing the BG, u just want revenge. After a long day of pvp u find yourself ahead most of the other classes exept the druid. When in doubt go to the forums. U go to your class forums and see whining against the druid. Then u go to the druid forum and for the 1st time in your life to the suggestion forum and write sth like OMG!!NERF DRUIDS AND MANGLE ASAP!! I personnaly have no problem reading NERF threads in any forums, against any class. Sometimes they are amusing and fun, sometimes they feel right. Lets make sure your NERF thread feels right. 1. GEAR!! What is your gear. Times when blue pvp gear was a great achievment have passed. Now u really need GM/HW weapons or equal and GM/HWL gear or tier2+ to be able to say u have NICE gear. If u have below today standards gear, suck it up, w8 for BC or pvp against classes u can beat and get yourself NICE gear. Your gear IS nice. well then... What is the druids gear like? Well this is much harder. Why? U are customed to identify othe classes tiers by looking at them. This isn't possible most times with the druid cus we are most of the times shapeshifted. Even if u catch us in caster form, u will find druids wearing random pieces of gear impossible to identify cus pre BC druids didnt have feral or balance tier sets. My point? U really cant tell if the druid who beat u had 1600ap or 800ap in cat form. U dont know if he had 6k or 12k ac in bear form. U cant tell if he just leveled 60 or came up to rank 13 in the old pvp days. Sry u can. If he hit u really hard that probably means he had really NICE gear. 2. STRATEGY!! How are your talents layed out. U do realise there are pve specialised talents and pvp ones. Which ones does your build have? U cant expect to top the dps charts in raids and own every class in pvp at the same time, with the same talents. If u want to pvp, respec. Not every day, but if you decided to pvp for a month, respec pvp build for a month. Ex. rogues stunlock build can destroy most classes, but nobody is going to spec that for raids. How do u fight a druid? Using some old, outdated guide from your forums. Have u even tried to find clues how to beat a druid. No? Well u should have. Read other classes forums, u will find out important info, like that hunters dont like to fight heavy armored targets. Maybe that is a good advice for u too. If that doesnt work, develop your own strategy. Have PvP trinket equiped ALL THE TIMES. Druids cant beat some classes without it. So why should u beat us without it. Also remember, NOT all strategies will work at once. U need practice. If u have 10.000 kills, maybe your opponent has 100.000. 3. REALISE!! Pvp as it is now, after 2,01 is NOT balanced around LVL 60. Yes it has been said a lot. And u still dont realise it. Blizz isn't going to move a finger until we all get to 70, and pvp there for some time. If then some classses will be unbeatable, they will react. 4. BIGGER PICTURE!! What is your class position in pvp? Both group and solo? Do u suck against most classes or only a few? If u have NICE gear, right STRATEGY, BC lvl 70 PvP lands, things dont improve and still cant beat MOST classes if ANY, go to your own forums and tell blizz how u feel. Ask for a buff. Dont flame other classes. If at that point u can beat every class exept the druid. Well, why should U beat every class. Why should U be THE KING of PVP. Get druids nerfed cus they are the only class that can kill u, and u will be nerfed too. Neither class wants U AS KING OF PVP as much as you dont want other classes to be. Peace.
