Nice developers - finally
by Ethen | 13/04/2007 17:35:15![]() While not everyone can be happy and some of the changes are a bit - hmmm, like the potions and flasks (note ptr testing, hopefully the developers can show they can use the ptr to make changes at last) I have to say this is probably the best patch they have done, not completely in terms of the cool new content maybe but the overall effort and size and attention to detail has gone up a level in my opinion. Many fixes have gone in and when you take into account the small patches and many hot fixes recently they have done A LOT of work in this area alone. New models and item looks like the teir 6 has again gone up a level in detail and design which again I hope they continue as it is top draw, None of the tier 6 I have seen looks naff, all of them look amazing which I think is a first for me anyway. But more class fixes then anything for each class they seem to be compressive and unlike in the past where they buffed stats or abilities high then see how things have gone again there seems more attention to small details of abilities and their function over the old approaches. Druid epic flight form for example not only is the detail very good but in the past blizzard would have just kept the same model or changed the colour and increased the speed, but now new looks, which again is a change. New end end game content but more single and group content in spades which I hope will continue as well. For me this patch I hope shows Blizzard has sat down looked at how it does things and set a new approach to many areas and this patch I hope shows the way forward. Patches may not be as big as this but if they keep the level of focus and detail into the way they are going about things in this way and the listening to the player comunity I can see WoW bouncing back up in many peoples eyes who have felt it slipping. Just hope PTR use is used how it should and I think for me that would be a development improvement to the game that is very high. I think it could look that way, but then look again and look closer at locked threads. You will generally ifnd they were turning into troll/flame fests, or already were. Or, and this is my personal favourite, literally stating "this is wrong, because I don't like it." If you're going to post without any argumententation or even a clear indication of what your opinion is based on then that post doesn't seem to be looking for discussion. |

If you see a post you disagree with, take a deep breath before replying. Name calling isn't going to change anything. |
