New LFG.. removes the need for guilds?
by Wilgje | 10/12/2009 15:49:27![]() Hey guys, we've had 2 days of the new cross-realm LFG system. To be honest, the speed of getting a group is *so* fast for me as a tank (1 second) that I have started wondering: who would now join a guild for running heroics? It's fast, measures have been taken to avoid ninja-ing. What casual player needs a community for their game enjoyment now? This is likely to make a huge impact on the social part of the game. Or is it? I'd like to ask each of you to tell me and eachother how things are going with your guild right now. What effect do you think it'll have, etc. In a week I'll come back to this thread and share what impact it has had on my guild. :) Personally I would always prefer to run a group with guildies but out of 4 pug's only one has been a bad experience. I know I can log on, quickly do a pug without organising anything, and score those badges to catch up with my guildies. The effect I think it'll have is more difficulty to recruit as "atmosphere" is pretty much all the extra we can bring right now :/ [ Post edited by Wilgje ] Happy member of Lemmings of the Light http://www.lemmings-of-the-light.net/ |
