Well for my Art coursework I chose to do tribes...(yes crap choice but not really much to choose from :( )
So I was researching some pictures of the Maori tribe and stumbled upon this one

Is this a real Maori tribe tattoo as I found this image on a Maori tribe site, or is it just some concept art?

You've got it quite the wrong way around. Maori tattoos are not like that (I'm from New Zealand, so I have a fair clue about this). That's quite obviously a tattoo of a naaru.
