Your Armory profile shows you have Skinning and Leatherworking as professions. I believe you should be getting Medium and Heavy leather around your level, which on many realms catch a fair price at the Auction House. That could net you some extra money for now, at least enough for the mount.

You might have to spend some money later to catch up on the Leatherworking - but the higher level you are the more money you'll make so it shouldn't dig so deep into your finances then. :)

Don't worry about contradicting me. My advice it not given from my position as a Blizzard employee, but rather as a fellow player. However, since my text is blue I don't like to suggest that people change their professions, talents, glyphs, etc. True, two gathering professions will likely bring more gold, but many like having a crafting profession during leveling too. :)

Q u o t e:
items from crafting profs while leveling prooving very bad stats compared to quest rewards and instance loots.
Crafting profs are only useful at maximum level(or close to), where you can have the +2x19 spellpower from it for example(or ap or anything).
At level <50 crafting professions are bad(=you wont use 99% of the provided items from it, except if you are a inscriptioner, but even then, you can buy your glyph for 0.5 gold), for example, you can make better gold with herbalism and mining, and its prooving you a great hot and + health, helping your leveling, while leatherworking for an example, either eats your gold, or just eats your time.

But who are we (you and I) to tell another player whether he enjoys improving a crafting profession while leveling? ;)
