Massive Keylogger alert.
by Mezil | 03/04/2007 03:14:28 (If this has been posted before, sorry) It appears that a massive keylogging is spreading around on the forums, so far four people has been seen spreading a keylogger, the posts are all identical.
The topic name is always the same: "how sex the woman is". The following people have so far been observed spreading the keylogger; [...] It appears that the accounts are all hacked and it's not the original account owners that's spreading the keylogger. So if someone posts a topic with the name "how sex the woman is" on your realm forum: do not press the link, report it straight away. Thanks. Indeed. With valuable help from the Game Master Team the posts from the accounts spreading these links have been deleted. Please report if you see any other posts with the similar message. |

Right now we consider the accounts in the hands of people with malicious intent, and thus ban them from the forums. The game account isn't the community team's area, so I can't comment on that. If/when the accounts return to their rightful owners these should contact us through the community web form (https://www.wow-europe.com/community/webform/index.html) to have the forum ban lifted after we verify that the compromised account issue has been solved. |

I'm absolutely sure most - probably all - those having accounts used for this spam didn't mean to post it. However, regardless of how it happens I don't think we'll be leaving any account spouting key-logger links on the forums open to post. Right now the priority is preventing the spreading of the key-logger. I'll rather take a huge amount of perma-forum-ban clean-up than a single extra compromised account. |

The first post was already deleted. Please use the biohazard symbol to report any new threads, we might see it quicker that way.
