Maestro cards no longer accepted?
by Azerougth | 16/06/2010 13:53:17![]() Can anyone please confirm whether this is true? I recieved an email this morning stating my monthly subscription can no longer be paid via a Maestro card issued by a UK bank. I was advised that I could continue playing on my current paid month, after which I would have to purchase game time by other means i.e. pre-paid cards etc. Is this a scam/phishing email or genuine? |

by Ancilorn | 16/06/2010 14:15:34![]() I stand corrected. Today we are no longer able to offer recurring subscriptions for Maestro users. This is something that is beyond our control and is controlled by the banks (it applies for all Maestro users). You will still be able to use Maestro for subscriptions but you'll need to process the details each time the subscription ends. Once the payment systems are fully functional again you will be able to use the Maestro card as usual for all the regular services just like before, apart from a recurring subscription. Apologies for the confusion. "When everything is said and done, so looking for answers if only one, turn my back the urge has gone, left with no reason we come undone" Community Team - English |
by Ancilorn | 16/06/2010 14:21:30![]() You can still pay with a Maestro card, don't worry. The subscription simply wont be automatic each month. An example: 1. You pay for 30 days on your Maestro. 2. You play for 30 days until your subscription ends. 3. You pay for another 30 days on your Maestro. 4. See point 2. Repeat. It simply won't refresh every time the subscription ends. :) I hope this clarifies the situation?
