Killer Plague

Just read in the Sun newspaper about a digital virus which has infested world of war craft and is killing elves can blizzard shed any light on this and is it safe to play night elf and blood elf chars?

This was something that happened a long time ago, shortly after the release of Zul'Gurub. It affected all characters, not just Elves, but the plague has been cured now and all is (relatively) safe once more in Azeroth.
