He's definately cracking. In fact I think he cracked a while ago, and now he's mindlessly venting his grief on the forum. It's a bit like a teacher we picked on a bit too much at school when I was little. Children can be so cruel. Are there more children on the US boards?

The analogy with customer service is quite flawed, IMO. I look at CMs more like the security/assistance guys at supermarkets. They are generally helpful and pleasant, but if you step on their foot, or start harassing people, they can (depending on your country's rules) throw you out, beat you up or even put you in jail...

If the 'client is always right' worked like these morons who flail it about believe it does, clients in shops would be free to harass and spout obscenities at other clients and cashiers, shoplift, destroy property, and behave in all sorts of rude manner without anyone being able to do anything about it. Somehow, I don't believe 'client is always right' works that way.

And just where exactly do people get that idea that CMs are supposed to be 'indifferent, objective robots' ? Has anyone seen their job contract? Does it actually say anywhere they're not allowed to have opinions once they sign it?
