Abuse

Seems like all my efforts to recover my account were in vain...i recieved this:
Greetings,

We are writing to inform you that we have, unfortunately, had to cancel your World of Warcraft account:

Account Name: <SNIP>
Date of Violation: 26/03/2008
Type of Violation: Irrecoverably Compromised
Details of Incident: Multiple people able to provide Photo ID
Consequences for Account: Account Cancellation

Lot of questions are raised tho:

1. Date of violation: 26/03/2008 ...how is this possibile since the account was suspended since 04/03/2008?

2. Multiple people able to provide Photo ID...i mentioned that in the e-mails i sent aprox. 2months ago that my ex-roomate from college stolen my account data and some digital photos with my ID from my computer but at that time i recovered the account and after it was suspended for ownership confirmation...then i sent additional information that only i have like game-card numbers and i said if needed i can provide new photos of my ID, Driver's License, Passport or Birth Certificate

I know it's just an account with 2 lvl70 chars that are not that well geared...but it really bothers me because this was my only account that i started playing since september 2005 and i never had any warning, temp. ban, haven't bought gold or stuff like that

So bottomline is i get banned because some person that i trusted like a brother has stolen data from my personal computer...how is that fair?

Hi Abuse,

The decision not to return an account to a player is a last resort when it is impossible for us to verify which player is the rightful owner. Such a decision is made solely by our account administration department, and is not one which is made lightly. If your account has been deemed to be irretrievably compromised, then it is unlikely we will be able to assist further.

If you wish to appeal against the ruling made, this appeal must again be sent to our account administrators, either by web form (http://www.wow-europe.com/support/securitywebform/securitywebform.html
?lan=en
) or by Email to WoWaccountreviewEU@blizzard.com.

I am going to lock this thread now - I have provided all of the information I can, and there is enough bad blood in this thread for me to consider removing forum access if it continues.
