Seeing as pure classes only offer 1 thing it’s pretty clear that they should be superior to hybrids in their role this is pretty logical seeing as pure classes can only do 1 thing while hybrids can perform multiple roles.
The priest class for instance can perform the roles of ranged nuker and healer, the druid class can perform the roles tank, melee dps, ranged nuker and healer, the shaman class can perform the roles of ranged nuker, melee dps and healer.
The paladin class can only perform one role this is showcased by the fact that over 90% of raiding paladins and paladins in 2000 or higher rating arena teams are all using a 40+ point holy spec with a secondary focus in protection. The paladin’s only role in this game is that of a healer/buffer and as such it’s only fair that we get a buff to our holy tree to make sure that we are the best class in the game at performing our role as primary healer, the buffs include:
- Reset illumination to refund 100% of the mana cost of the spell cast.
- Holy guidance to change 60% of our total intellect into + healing not damage and healing. - Blessing of kings made baseline.
- Holy touch added as a baseline spell gotten at level 40 this spell instantly heals a target for 50% of the paladins health plus 100% of his + healing with a 5 second cool down.
- Holy Protection added as a baseline spell obtained at level 10 this spell instantly shields the target absorbing 1500 damage, can be improved through talents.
- Blessed Life heals the target for 500 every 3 seconds for 30 seconds.
We do need a shield, hot and instant heal seeing as we are the only pure healing class in the game, and I’m shocked by the fact that hybrids like priests and druids are able to out heal us, this should not happen we are a primary class they are a hybrid! The burning crusade also known as when every class got a buff that cripples paladins in pvp. |
