How to Gem & Enchant yourself for raids.

This is all aimed for people that are either starting out raiding or getting prepared for SSC/TK. since people in Mount hyjal & Black Temple should already know this. Cat's Swiftness is very nice for fights where you are on the move alot. ** If you have the chance, get two boots with one of each enchant, to swap between fights. Weapons: Mongoose on both http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=27984 (atleast until the Zul'aman enchant gets tested proper) Gems: As u may know all the gems are equivalent so its situational what gem is used like in pvp its +ap gem but for pve +agi gem is more useful because in the long fight it gives the same boost to the dmg BUT is affected by blessing of kings because its a stat. Meta socket: Relentless Earthstorm Diamond http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32409 Red socket: +8agi or +4hit and +4agi http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24028 http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24061 Yellow socket: +8hit rating or +4hit and +4agi http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24051 http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24061 Blue socket: +4agi and +6stam http://www.wowhead.com/?item=24055 note that after the haste rating nerf Thundering Skyfire Diamond isnt worth it anymore. http://http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32410 and Swift Windfire Diamond wont cut it since the +agi scales better with kings buff. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28556 If there is a blue socket and u wonder whether to put a blue gem and get the socket bonus or put a red one and lose the bonus take in consideration the following: if the socket bonus gives 4/3agi or 4crit or 4/3hit or 8ap then you may as well go for the 4agi 6stam purple gem cuz u need 2 blue gems for ur meta gem to work too. And ofcourse if you look stats wize you might want to take the 4agi 6stam and go for a +3hit, giving up 1hit for 6 stam aint a bad choice, unless you want the raw damage output sacrifizing the stam. The only socket bonus worth of putting a blue gem at that point is a 4agi bonus because then it will become +4agi from the gem +4agi from the bonus +6stam from the gem thus u get an extra 6stam instead of putting an 8agi gem. But that all depends on how much hit rating you need overall. so in many cases +4 hit +4agi > 8agi If you have any ideas or concerns that might be fixed etc, do tell. this is all theorycraft without the details.
