One of the dearest features in Diablo 2 to me was the addition of hardcore characters. This option let you create a character with only one life - once dead all you could do was to start over from the beginning. We don't have this option in WoW, but using the statistics you can keep track of how many times your character has died.

This makes me wonder - how many of you have a high level character with zero deaths? Has anyone reached level 80 without dying once? If not that could be a interesting challenge to attempt.

I don't think there is a single character that has reached level 80 without dying at least once. I could of course be wrong though :-)

One thing is for sure though, and that is that I would be very impressed if someone actually managed to do this :-)

No disrespect to the guy but getting to 80 without dying is very easy especially when you avoid pvp 100% and avoid dungeons 100%

Well... if you never PvP and never go to a dungeon, then it is indeed more feasible to reach level 80 without dying, but one should not forget things like random elites sneaking up on your back or accidental pulls of too many mobs.

To reach max level without even an accidental death is still quite impressive I would say :-)

I have 86 deaths from falling on my main, and that (embarassingly) counts for almost 10% of my total deaths... wait a second...

That's really bad!
