Intro:

Welcome to the “Guide: “How to call Blizzard”..

Lately there has been an increase of people having problems with calling Blizzard. Many people have reported that they can't call the Billing numbers from outside the listed country’s (this has something to do with the way free call lines work) With this guide I hope to reduce these problems a bit.

If you think any of the things I say in here are not true and need to be corrected, do not hesitate to post it in a reply, tips are also welcome.

Different ways to call blizzard.
  • #0. Normal house phone. (regular way)
  • #1. Normal house phone + dialling code
  • #2. Mobile Phone(with or without dialling code)
  • #3. PC-based phone application(Skype)
How to Contact Blizzard by Phone

Who do you need to call at Blizzard? Account & Billing or Technical Support?

  • Change your registered e-mail?
  • Forgot the answer to your secret question?
  • Does your credit card not work?
  • Payment methods blocked?

For these problems: Account & Billing is your friend!
This service is for almost every problem you have with your account info or with your account payment.

On the other hand,

Technical Support

The Technical Support department can help you with any technical problem that is preventing you from being able to install or play World of Warcraft. They can also assist you with any errors in-game, such as graphical or sound problems.

The numbers for both departments can be found below.

For Account & Billing:(Free number)For Technical Support:(some numbers with a fee)Note that non of these departments are going to provide you with in-game hints and tips. Nor are they for help with in-game quests and mob problems.

While explaining how to call in this guide, I will be using the Account & Billing numbers as example(cause they are free and easy to explain when you are having difficulties with calling)

For the numbers of Account & Billing(from there website, see above), it is very simple.
  • Austria: 0800 677 529 (free)
  • Belgium: 0800 497 63 (free)
  • Denmark: 80 881 086 (free)
  • Finland: 0800 115 269 (free)
  • France: 0805 305 031 (free)
  • Germany: 0800 101 2242 (free)
  • Italy: 800 985 830 (free)
  • Netherlands: 0800 0203479 (free)
  • Norway: 800 12 277 (free)
  • Russia: 88 005 550 995 (free)
  • Spain: 800 099 812 (free)
  • Sweden: 0200 897074 (free)
  • United Kingdom: 0800 931 0800 (free)
If you live in one of these country’s consider yourself lucky, because you can call without problems and for free.

If you think of calling, be prepared to have as much information as possible at hand(to verify the account is yours)
  • Account info (account name, your first/second name your address and most important(in most cases) the answer on your secret question.)
  • Credit card number (or other payment history)
  • Your original wow CD code you used to activate your account,(in some situations, you wont be helped without this information!)
Even though it always looks easy to say your name and address in English, you need to spell every letter so prepare what you are going to say in advance, helps a lot!

Blizzard phone-support opening hours are:
10:30 am to 08:00 pm (Paris time), on Monday and Tuesday.
11:30 am to 08:00 pm (Paris time), on Wednesday.
10:30 am to 08:00 pm (Paris time), on Thursday.
10:30 am to 07:00 pm (Paris time), on Friday.
I wish you good luck in solving your problem.

If you do not live in one of the listed country’s you should start with trying to call the nearest country to you present in the list. In some country’s this will work, in some it won’t. DO NOTE: this might cost you some phone-bill, since you are not in the country itself

If this does not work for you, consider the following.

If you do not mind paying some to solve the problem faster, then chose 1 of these methods:(suggested to start with 1)
  • #1. Normal house phone + dialling code
  • #2. Mobile Phone(with or without dialling code)
  • #3. PC-based phone application(Skype)
If you do mind paying some, and want a free option, then there is only 1 option left.

A Webform(no phone, but longer wait)
