Graphical Artifacts, tearing.

FOr some time now, I've been playing WoW briefly over at my girlfriend's house. She's a very scarce player, but stopped recently due to some graphical issues that eventually lead to crashing, giving the nv4_display error.

I can't recall the exact error now, but I can show some examples of what I mean if screenshots are requested. A large triangular artifact stems from the right of the screen, and moves when I turn my character.

For some reason, the strange errors that appear in the character select screen only show up for my human characters, i.e. when the backdrop displays Stormwind. However, the in-game artifacts can appear at any time, though it seems to occur mostly in dense areas, particularly forests.

Hello Aerandul,

I'd have to agree with Eltorrow, based on what you've said and the screenshots you've uploaded, it looks like the card is failing.

You could try under-clocking the card to see if that helps but it's not a permanent fix:
