Please note there is no beta sign-up or opt-in for Cataclysm at this time.

Usually, when we do have a beta running, we give everyone an equal chance to get into said beta. The reason for this is that our games are designed for a wide audience of players and not just the veterans and the hardcore. The newcomer experience for an example is just as important as the tuning of end-game content.

That being said there are of course exceptions to this where certain groups of highly skilled and experienced players will get invited into a beta to help us test the game. An example of such exceptions is those cases when specific content needs to be tested in ways that cannot otherwise be done thoroughly or properly through regular testing.

No date has yet been decided upon, but my guess is soon-ish. Anyways, an announcement will be made once we are ready to start the beta.
