Game jerky every 40secs on many realms

Grubel

hello all,

as written in the subject, for me the game is jerky (screen seems to freeze one or more times repeatedly for a short time, 1sec circa) every 40secs and this happens repeatedly from and including the screen with the choice of the characater and then during all the gameplay; it's not a graphic / cpu related problem, in fact ...

... this is happening now and from one week on a lot of realms; on my first day of game instead I was having this problem only on few realms (eg. crushridge and burning blade) and that's the reason why I went on dentarg and haomarush

nothing seems to be changed on my side from weeks, but as written the problem affects now also the realms were I was able to play before without issues :_(

who can help me to go deeply into checks?
I've got a traceroute against the server I was using when on dentarg:

As for your problem first of all could you tell us if you are using a wireless connection, if you are could you please indicate what operating system you are using and the network device that is connecting to your Netgear router.

Hi

Just as a note, posting in CAPS is definitely not the way to get anyone's attention, I avoided locking your thread the first time but we can and will lock threads that uses CAPS in the title as such is against the forum rules.

The problems you are having are likely linked to you using Wifi. As you are using Windows XP this makes it a little easier to possibly solve.

Windows has a feature called "Wireless Zero Configuration", which is designed to automatically configure a wireless connection, or make it easier to configured a connection, a side effect of this service is that is scans periodically for local wireless networks.

You can disable this service but you need to make sure that your wireless devices has its own software which to build a connection to your router.

The following website has details on how to disable WZC

http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/2000.html

And a final note, playing on illegal servers not only put your account at risk its also against the agreement you sign when you created your account, I'd suggest you avoid using such servers.
