Hey, there's this name that I'd like on one of my characters, and I was wondering how I'd go about petitioning for it to be freed up for me, because I read the blue response at

but I've also heard that there's a phone number I can call, is that just the customer support helpline and which avenue of communication should I take (GM or phone)?
The name I have in mind is not taken by a character above level 10, leading me to believe that it's an inactive account.

The post from Orlyia does apply to the EU as well, but I just want to make sure you understand that this is extremely rare, meaning 99% of the time it will not be done, but:
