Ok im writing this hear as blizz email seem to have deemed there no need to reply to my webform:

With regards to account bans some people using the term idiot recieve bans yet others do not.

There are certain posters within the forum spouting vulgarisms such as piss off , and yet even when reported this is never dealt with.

Is there any intention to ensure forum staff start to accurately issue bans and not by choice ignoreing terms and insults also issued in other languages. as it is being told

cach ay ban meri is far more insulting than the term idiot yet your staff do nothing , Hell theres one account posting for the last 6 weeks they have used the following terms

Piss off , Retard , idiot , and yet they have continually done so and never recieved a ban , why is this?

We apologize if you have not yet received a response to your webform query. We do answer all the webform queries we receive, unfortunately though it happens that it can take some time until we reply due to the very large amount of queries we receive on a daily basis.

We do take action every time we see someone making offensive posts, especially if said posts have been reported. It should be said though that not all bans are permanent though, so I agree that from your viewpoint it may sometimes appear as if nothing has happened if a person who was temporarily banned decides to continue his offensive behaviour upon returning from his ban. Should a previously banned person be reported once again, a much more severe ban will be issued the next time around.

These forums are very large and very active, so it is unfortunately not possible for us to moderate everywhere all the time around the clock, which means that a large portion of our moderation is based on reports. We do of course take action whenever we see offensive posts ourselves, but if an offensive post is not reported by other forum users, then there is unfortunately a chance that we may not notice it.

The moderators are only human though, so of course mistakes can happen. Examples of this can for an example be that a moderator forgets to delete the offensive posts after banning or user, or issuing a short ban when a longer one was warranted.

We ask you to please keep reporting offensive posts and offensive posters whenever you see them, and if an offensive post has not been removed after it was previously reported, please feel free to report it again. We will take action against anyone violating the forum rules!

In regards to insults or abuse being posted in other languages; if you understand said languages, please feel free to let us know what the offensive post translates into when reporting it. Unfortunately the moderators are not able to speak all the languages in the European region, which is why we insist that everyone posts in English. Posts written in other languages than English will get removed, and a ban may very well be issued if a person insists on making non-English posts after having previous ones removed.

Please feel free to use the webform if you wish to give us additional feedback on the forums and the moderation: https://www.wow-europe.com/community/webform/index.html
