I believe that if a thread is BLOCKED, then it should be manadatory for a blizz representative to leave a last post, explaining why it was blocked. Sure, I mostly know why threads are blocked. However then again there are other threads where I have no clue, and I would like to know. What do you think?

Q u o t e:
Thank you for all the replies. I mean there must be an interface for the forums for the moderators, why not add an extra option for them when the close the thread, a drop-down box where they can choose the reason and that would automatically post a message with text which explains which rule was broken. Then they dont have to type it all up.

Sometimes we do post a reason, sometimes we don't. Sometimes we'll close a thread for a reason and then post it, then subsequently lock other threads (usually in the same forum/page) for the same reason without posting. Most threads being locked are locked for obvious reasons, and we feel that posting in them is redundant and leads to too many threads being "blue tagged" or on the blue trackers.

When posting on the forums, you agree to abide by the rules in place; and as such we feel that the most obvious moderation actions does not require a post explaining why.

Locking this.
