Events and Fan Creations forum guidelines
by Vaneras | 01/02/2007 16:10:36![]() This forum is created for the purpose of making it easier to announce and promote player made events, as well as making it easier for players to nominate and inform us about interesting forum threads and/or community news, that would be great to include in the weekly news posts on our homepage. Below you can find the guidelines for the proper usage of this forum; Please read them before you engage in posting on this forum: Index 1: Community Events 2: Forum Watch Nominations 3: Community News Nominations 4: Blizzard Posts Community Events When you are creating a community event, be it an in-game or real life event; please post it in this forum. For in-game events a short introduction and link to the realm forum thread is enough. In order to help promoting your events, we will be gathering and selecting events from this forum every week, which will be added to the community events calendar found on our homepage: http://www.wow-europe.com/en/community/events.html If you would like your event added, please make sure your event thread contains the following information: Overview and Information To facilitate keeping an overview and easing the search to find certain events, please try to use an informative subject title for your event when creating a thread, and if possible please try to add a date as well. In addition please add a tag with your realm name to the subject title (it is fine to use an abbreviation of your realm name), so that it is easier to see on what realm the event is taking place. Examples of good subject titles: - [Scarshield Legion] Booty Bay Beer Bash (dd/mm) - [TVC] Amateur Evening (weekly event) - [Bloodhoof] Gurubashi Arena Tournament (dd/mm) - [ED] Raid on crossroads (dd/mm) Examples of bad subject titles: - Party on my realm - PvP dueling tournament - Raid on Stormwind tonight If you are creating an out of game event, please specify this with a tag as well: Examples: [Out of Game] Lan party in Sweden (dd/mm) [RL] Real Life meet up in London (dd/mm) Locked Threads In order to keep the attention and focus on upcoming events, we will be locking threads containing community events that have passed or is cancelled. Forum Watch Nominations In this forum you can also post links to any forum thread of any subject that you think would be interesting to mention in the weekly forum watch that we post on our homepage every Tuesday. If you wish to nominate a thread for the weekly Forum Watch, please add a [F.watch] tag in the subject title. Community News Nominations Every Friday we post the weekly community news on our homepage, which covers news and events from our fan sites or from other sites that often has World of Warcraft related content. But since there are so many things going on all the time, and since there is so much World of Warcraft related content on the Internet, we can’t possibly hope to be able to cover all of it. Therefore we would like your help. If you know about something World of Warcraft related that is going on somewhere on the internet or in real life, and you think it could be great to have it mentioned on our homepage in the weekly Community News then please create in this forum where you link to the subject in question together with a very short description of what it is about. When you create the thread, please try to use an informative subject title and please also include the tag [C.news] so we more easily can identify the subject of your thread. Blizzard Posts Please be aware that Blizzard interaction on these forums will be mostly limited to moderation, however we will blue-tag a thread when we will use its content for either the weekly forum watch, the weekly community news and of course the community events calendar on our homepage. We will also post about real life events where we will participate. This moderation will to a large extent be carried out on a per report basis only, meaning you shouldn’t expect us to handle any offensive posts unless you report it. We will drop by once in a while though, to make sure things aren’t getting out of hand and that this forum remain a positive contribution to the community and are here to stay. Threads that are off-topic or otherwise unsuitable for this forum will be deleted. Please read the forum guidelines here: Key Forum Rules [ Post edited by Vaneras ] Behold!
