by Tarissa | 15/04/2008 08:25:28 <EAT MORE CAKE> is a PVE orientated guild and we are looking for players to expand our ranks and progress through Sunwell Plateau and beyond! You might be saying to yourselves “Who are these crazy crackers?” so let me give you a little background behind our voluptuous guild!. Originally, the guild was made from just over ten players who decided to leave Hellscream and move to Aerie Peak. Leaving behind a guild that had cleared Kel’Thuzad (<Purged>) was a hard choice for these chubby pioneers, but we craved a more focused raiding environment, that we could waste our many precious free hours on! Alas the guild grew and we eventually worked our way through the raiding content of the game, claiming all server first kills in the process through Mount Hyjal and Black Temple! That leads us up to this point. Training in Sunwell Plateau is a hard task, so some fresh blood to fill our ranks is always welcome here in the land of all things sugary and baked! Here’s what we are looking for: Warlocks (One) Restoration Shaman (One) Exceptional applications from any class is always considered, but bare in mind that you will need to stand out from the crowd. We consider ourselves a pretty focused, we do like to joke around and enjoy ourselves but the main goal is raiding. It always has been and it always will. Previous raiding experience is pretty much a must, as we can’t take people to brand new encounters when they haven’t properly raided before. Our raiding atmosphere is relaxed to the point of not being strict, we expect our members to know when it is and isn’t ok to make jokes on Ventrilo and when not too. We like it that way. We aren’t interested in forcing people to raid and do their jobs. If you want an easy ride and for officers to constantly barrage you with criticism and instruction, you won’t get that here. We expect a lot from our members both in terms of skill and dedication. At the same time we always like to help people improve, so sometimes numerous people will give out advice and help toward new members. As for our raiding schedule, we raid five days a week (Sunday to Thursday) and high availability during those days is a must. We raid from 7:30 GT to 12 GT non-stop, so if you aren’t used to raiding for these lengths of time, you will struggle. A certain standard of gear is also a must, as we don’t have the time nor the resources to constantly gear new recruits to our level of gear. You will be thrown straight into Sunwell Plateau and going into such an instance with unsuitable gear would just be doomed to failure. Friendly, enthusiastic people are always greeted with open arms in this guild. The social side of raiding is also a big part of who we are, along with the more serious aspects of our guild. If you aren’t interested in staying for the long run, you might as well not apply. We have a low turnover rate in terms of members, so loyalty is seen as a massive perk from new applicants.
