Sporeggar's first 1 vs 1 Player versus Player tournament!!!

As the realm grows in popularity and more soldiers are being drafted into the battlegrounds, we have thought it would be in ours, and your, best intrests to do a 1 vs 1 tournament inviting all players across Azeroth to battle against each other!

The stakes arent high, but with the massive potential with this tournament you could end up winning a small fortune for just doing what you do best!

Main tank, healer, pffft, what ever your talent specification you should think about entering our tournament! We invite you and your guild to take part and fight for Sporeggar's Best PvPer of Spring 2008!

***ALL FIGHTS WILL BE FILMED WHERE POSSIBLE! I play WoW on a laptop and suck at making videos but I will try!!***

Information and Rules:

Entry Rules:

• All players must pay an entry fee of 50g per person (read more below on why under the winnings section).


• All players must be level 70 at the time of the first bout of duels.


• All players must only use self buffs. Potions and bandages and food/drinks (except buff giving foods/drinks) are ok.[/il]

Tournament Rules & Guidelines:

• Each player will face each other three times in a "best out of three knockout" style bracketing system. Meaning, you have three times to defeat your oponent to move on to the next round.


• We will be using the already built in-game dueling system. This enables a clear result as to who won, and who didnt and it also keeps you alive to heal up for the next try. To duel the opposite faction using this system, target them and type /duel


• If the ingame dueling system says you lost, you lose. If you get cc'ed out of the boundaries, we will do the duel again.


• If you havent dueled within 1 week of the announcement of the next rounds fights, you will be disqualified and your opponent will move onto the next round. This is to ensure we do not get any stragglers who slow the whole process down.


• You may fight any time, day or night aslong as someone is there to certify that the winner is really the winner and both patrons kept within the rules. If you are unsure, please ask me via IRC or in-game and I will attend or another member of Drunk Pitchfork Fighters.


• Everyone will fight atleast once a week unless your opponent is disqualified for inactivity. If everyone has fought within 1 week, we will announce the next round and start those fights from the day after. This gives everyone enough time to arrange their fights with their opponent and also a potential 7 days to get enough honor or arena points for more gear or weapons.

What do I get if I win?
You get everything. 50g x (Amount of players who entered).
You also get to brag that you won the tournament and be voted Sporeggar's MVP (Most Valued Player).

50g isnt much, but if you think that 30 people enter, the winner will take home 1500g...for doing what they do every day..pvp..

How do I enter?
You have to send an ingame mail to either Allietourny or Hordetourny with the attached 50g. If you are paying on behalf of someone else please say so, otherwise you will be expected to duel. Refunds can be made before the closing date which is Saturday 16th February which gives you just under two weeks to farm honor and get those last bits of armour and weaponry to enter the glorious tournament.

How are results picked?
We will make a list of all the entrants and then randomise them, and then randomise the fights to make it as fairly as possible.

UPDATE: Each of the first fights will be based upon the players gear, reputation, class and spec. This is to try and make the first round as fair as possible so everyone can enjoy the tournament.
