Hey, i got a problem with installing the PTR.
I'll tell you what i did.

1. Logged into the copy page.
2. Downloaded the the client.
3. Downloader to 100%

and nothing else happened, no second "installer" came up.

The patch day treason and plot.
I see no reason, for MS and Cleavin',
Since Tseric wants us to spec Prot."

Go to the folder your downloads are stored in and look for WoW-2.0.12.6546-to-0.1.0.6577-enGB-patch.exe

Copy it to your WoW folder and run it. This should create a sub folder called WoWTest.

I'm noticing that some players are reporting having to download it up to 3 times before it works, so I've forwarded this.

Hmm, that didn't solve my problem :/

I have no .exe file in my 'Firefox Downloads' folder, only a unknown format file called wow-blahblah.exe.part
Nothing is being created even in the wrong folder when i run the installer via the Downloads list that firefox has built in.

So i drag the Blizz installer into my WoW folder and run, and it doesn't move past 0%, i try running it in my "Firefox Downloads" folder and it doesn't move past 0%.

Any suggestions?

I think .part files are Firefox's temporary placeholder until the download is complete. It looks like the file isn't downloading for you. So, since we see so many people downloading it succesfully: Check your firewall and router for anything that might be blocking the download process?

Well it is actually getting to 100%, its downloading fine, just doesn't seem to be working for me lol

I did notice that the .part file was only being created when i ran the Downloader from the Permanent Firefox Download folder on my computer (where it doesn't get past 0%), and when i run the downloader through the download menu on firefox it completes but no .exe file is being made, making me think that mabye the file is hidden somewhere else on my computer for some reason. This is a first time thing for me, i never really have any problems with patching and ive participated in many a test realm :)

Ok, please forgive me, but from what you write I don't specifically understand that you actually have a .exe file anywhere? Not that you can see apparently. Maybe, for one instance, try changing the download location for Firefox. I think your chance of success is highest if you manually copy the complete patch .exe to your game folder and run it from there. You're not using any download accelerators are you?

Please put the downloaded patch file into your World of Warcraft folder and then run it.
It should work better.
