Dont really care about falling server but....
by Thundgot | 30/05/2007 21:07:59![]() I'm not a native English speaker, nor have I studied English a lot, but I believe "thank you for your patience and understanding" (or the separate "thank you for your patience"/"we appreciate your patience" and "thank you for your understanding") is a politeness phrase fairly commonly used in English communication. It does not mean we expect your patience and understanding, but that we know the situation can be testing both and appreciate any patience and understanding you will lend us during this time. It simply sounds a lot better than "we know this is annoying, but hope you'll endure". I'll see whether it should be reviewed though, considering the multitude of nationalities in the community. And if anybody can confirm or correct, please do. :) |
