Did my account got fixed or is it not?
by Critster | 23/01/2008 04:43:05 Hello dear blizzard employee and ofc gamers, I recently got hacked like a lot of people in small amount of time this year. Yes I filled in the form supplied by the blue guy on this forum in nearly every post ofc :) Anyway to keep back on track, as I said I got hacked 19/01/2008 at 4:05AM servertime ( blame guildies for helping their alts in ramparts... ). I found myself not able to log back in and the fact I filled in my secret Q&A 3 years ago it slipped my mind so I quickly made a trial account ( incase i might just have connection problems with the account ). Made this lvl 1 dwarf warrior and found my character being suddendly in shattrath city instead of ramparts, ofc a HS can be triggered ( but hey im a shaman, don't got my HS with me 24/7 incase i lack bagspace ). Being the time atm i logged on vent incase my guildies perhaps were online and I was lucky ( but not lucky on the news i received ), my character got hacked and was being dis-enchanted from 3 kinds of sets ( elemental/resto/enhance gear ). After that i tracked my various other characters incase the hacker might also steal items/gold from other chars, and indeed he did. He eventualy deleted all of my characters and let 1 character remain intact ( i dunno if he made those IF/SW spambots on my account no idea ), but that character was my hunter. Not short while after i found out that also on other servers my characters got deleted ( speaking of a 70 shaman, 60 warlock, 62 priest, 60 shaman and various alts, he got back and took a portal to Darnassus to respec talents. After that been done i saw him move slowly from darkshore, ashenvale, desolace etc to feralas. Ofcourse many people are aware Dire Maul still is being botted and my hunter being on the hacked account was since around 7 AM or perhaps a tad later that saturday in Dire Maul with a few relogs till my account finaly got locked 22/1/2008 at around 11 PM or so. ( at least then was when I got my mail ). The mail contained the following message: Greetings, We are writing to inform you that, unfortunately, we have had to temporarily suspend your World of Warcraft account and place a final warning on it. Account Name: ******** <-- ye would you like to know :P Investigation Concluded: 22/01/2008 Type of Violation: Involvement in online trading activities Consequences for Account: Account suspended for 72 hours, Password Reset and Final Warning issued. Just a few short questions Did this mean my account got closed cause blizzard thought I myself SOLD my account while infact it got HACKED? If so, prolly half of my guild ticketed GMs aswell as people I know well, still they couldn't lock the character because only the person of the account can ask a GM to lock his account. Or did this just simply means the form got handled properly and the account suspension is 72 hours for investigation? And ofc a last question: A final warning? for what, getting hacked without any silly ingame GM able to help out? *Edit posting this from a trial account since the suspension :) [ Post edited by Critster ] |
by Issuntril | 24/01/2008 14:58:38 Hi Critster, When we take action against an account for a policy violation, in order to be able to objectively apply a sanction we do not take into consideration if an account is under the registered user's control or not. If you have submitted a web form to our account administration department then this case will be fully investigated as soon as possible. If we are able to verify that any offenses were committed while your account was not under your control, then we may be able to rescind them. Please be aware that the current response time for queries to our account administration department is longer than usual, and players with account problems can currently expect to wait in around of two weeks for a response.
