Dare to comminucate now?

Q u o t e:
This is not a sudden new policy that has just been implemented to annoy people on Earthen ring. We have been closing non-RP recruitment threads on RP realm forums for quite some time now, and the reason for this has been explained before. Here is a reply to a non-RP guild recruitment thread I once wrote:

"This realm is a role-playing realm and it is created for those who like to role-play in World of Warcraft. Because of that we do not wish to encourage the growth of non-role-playing communities, since players who do not wish to role-play do not belong here. Role-players only have these few realms to play on, and they should be allowed to role-play freely and uninterrupted without the risk of non-role-players to break their immersion.

Please note that I am not saying that role-playing does not mean that you cannot raid, but if you raid for the sake of raiding, then you have rolled a character on the wrong realm and should therefore select a non-RP realm to play on."

Conclusion: If you do not wish to engage in RP and care only for Raiding and/or PvP, then you do not belong on a RP realm. There is nothing more to it than that!

Addendum: If you wish to recruit more members for your guild through the RP realm forums, please be so kind to also post a little about your guilds RP policies and ethics. This way you can avoid a lock because we can see that your are in fact a RP guild that are looking for more people to help with its PvE endeavours.

I have this time picked up Vaneras own quote. At which you can't reply, because Blizzard usually blocks you from communicating. You can't reply in a locked thread, and it is not allowed to discuss locked threads either. Well, Vaneras, ban me, as I am doing that last one.

This is not a new policy you say. How come you never did anything about it? Why were you so lazy?
And, point us to this policy. Because you mentioning it as a policy, a policy nowhere to be found, nor upheld before, seems like me to some whim you got in your mind.

Then, please explain to me why you feel it acceptable to determine with whom I play, just because I also happen to roleplay? I did roleplay, that is why I am on this server. I never found any policies stating you can only roleplay here. In fact you yourself mention raiding is allowed. (Would be hard to deny that, wouldn't it?) yet, suddenly you come, without explanations and start locking threads with your "old (point us at it, please!)" policy.

After questions you find this old quote of you.
Now tell me: why do you think people form raidgroups, instead of guilds?

Now about raiding. When I raid, i do this to raid. What is wrong with that? Why else do you think most people raid? Why is it included in the game, if not meant to raid? What am I supposed to do there, if not raiding?
My raiding there breaks nobodies immersion that is not there to raid with me. And those that are, choose to be there with me. I'm not forcing things like you do. I ask people to join me. As it is OOC I do that here on the forum rather as in game.
Now, I am by you excluded from recruiting. Why?
Because you don't encourage non-roleplaying-communities. Who the hell do you think you are to determine with whom I have to spend my time? There are rules on this server. I follow them. My friends follow them, yet you are now in a way deciding I should not play with them, as you frown upon that. Who do you think you are?

Care to really start talking with your customers? Or... choose the easy way, lock this thread, and don't forget to ban me, because I will keep this popping up until you did either of these two.

Your enforcing clearly helps roleplay. Not.
Now this forum is full of threads about this, and I can point at one person that stopped roleplaying over it. Me. Can you point at a person that started roleplaying, because of it?

By the way, I don't expect any real discussion, as Blizzard fails to do any decent contact with their customers. It plainly sucks.

P.S. anyone can feel free to report this thread, as it's breaking the forum guidelines.

While we appreciate and are open to feedback, confrontational posts challenging a moderator (essentially "I will keep defying you until I get my way")are not appreciated. When additionally you create two threads on the exact same topic, it does seem your request for a break from the forums is rather whole-hearted.

To clarify: the subject in itself is not a problem - the way it's brought up is.

Closed.
