Cyclone Battlegroup problem... Again...
by Gelmkar | 05/05/2008 17:49:25![]() Hi, Previous reports from players reported that the problems connecting to the realms in the Cyclone Battlegroup and the latency they where experiencing at the time was apparently solved. This was investigated by our Network team at the time who could find no explanation to what was the cause cause of the reported issues as they where unable to find any issues within our network that could explain the reports made by players. This is not to say there may not be a problem, however no fault could be found within our network or on those realms. We are more that happy to investigate this issue again, however we can only do so when we have information forward to our network team so that they can look into the reports. ISP - Country - Town/City - Time Played - Modem (and firmware if available) - Router (and firmware if available) - Network device (Driver version if available) - Type of connection used (Wifi/USB Ethernet) - Operating System - Security Software installed (Firewall, Anti-Virus) – Please also perform a traceroute to the realm that you are experiencing this problem, instructions on how to perform this can be found on our support site here: http://eu.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=18888 Finally please also post the results produced by free program called WinMTR (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=44218), once you locate the IP address of the realm you are playing on, (You can get this when you follow the steps to create your traceroute mentioned above). This can help us check if you are dropping any packets along the way. Download the winmtr_bin_0.8.zip, and extract the winmtr.exe file to your desktop. Enter the IP address into the Host text field then click on start. Allow the program to send 300 packets, once that is done select the option Copy Text to clipboard, from where you should be able to paste the results into your forum post. |
