Please be aware that it can happen people with malicious intent send fake emails so called coming from Blizzard customer Support. Those emails you may receive are known scam attempts, intending to "phish" for your account information and steal your account. Many of these emails may appear to be from Blizzard, and are imitating the typical structure of our emails, even going as far as using the names of some of our Support Agents in the signature.
Remember, we will only ever contact you from an email address ending in @blizzard.com (typically from WoWAccountReviewEU@blizzard.com or WoWgmEU@blizzard.com or @email.blizzard.com - in the case of the Newsletter (Wow Insider).
Remember:
  • a Blizzard Employee will NEVER ask for the password to your account or email address.

  • account information, such as your Secret Question/Answer and CD key will only be requested if your account is suspended, or if you have contacted us for assistance.

  • a Blizzard Employee will NEVER contact you via MSN or any chat program.

We advise you not to send a copy of your ID documents or of your account details in answer to a mail that looks suspicious.
We strongly recommend you not to reply to dodgy emails asking you for your account name and password , as it will result in your account becoming compromised. If you have already sent your information in response to the email, please contact the Game Security Support via the webform (http://www.wow-europe.com/support/securitywebform/securitywebform3.htm

Morevover, concerning beta for the new expansion Wrath of the Lich King, we want to make it absolutely clear that we have NOT yet opened any form of public Beta. Nor do we currently have an ETA for one. If and/or when we should decide to start a public Beta for WotLK, we will endeavour to make sure that everyone is well informed and timely notified of such an event.

If you visited one of these fake sites claiming to have Beta keys, it might be advisable to read these two posts on the WoW General forum:

In any case of doubt, you can contact our Game Security department to obtain confirmation via the online web form: http://www.wow-europe.com/support/securitywebform/securitywebform.html
