I'm torn between Harry Brown and Inglourious Basterds, but for the purpose of being politically correct my vote goes with Harry Brown.

Plus Cain rocks.

There were actually many really good films in 2009 and I have a hard time picking just one as the best. I will therefore make my pick based on the best cinema experience I had instead, which was watching Avatar in 3D...mind blowing! :-)

A close second would be The Hangover I think, although Inglourious Basterds was really good too.
