Balance druid status
by Dnightshadow | 14/03/2008 16:13:15![]() PVE STATS http://wowjutsu.com/vault/raids/bt/ These are the percentages of classes taken to bt raids and their specs. Druid 8.12% Restoration 4.38% Feral 3.20% Balance 0.54% PVP STATS http://www.sk-gaming.com/arena/player/all/druid/all/all/ Out of 100 best ranked druids in the world 3 are 40+ balance druids (dps). No "popular" build includes more than 34 in balance (healing dreamstate build). PATCH 2.4 Lifebloom coeficient reduced. (Balance druids have spelldamage=healing and no healing talents. Balance druids are the most affected by this). Cyclone range reduced to 24 yds from 36 yds (talented). The single change was pvp set. And for me, it only compenstated MSD nerf... Besides that not a single pvp or pve buff outside changes that are happening to all classes. DRYSC
MOONKIN DRUIDS So where is our place?! What do you expect from us?! Reroll or quit?? Cudos to individuals who make it after all but generally speaking. We have no place in raids. We have no place in arena. We are constantly rejected from heroics. In 2.4 there is no reason for any druid to be balance in arena. You are trying to nerf resto. And yet you are forcing balance druids to go resto for arena cus it will handle the nerfs of 2.4 better than the spec nerfs are not meant to hit. P.S. Nothing against shamans, they too need buffs, but you are free to compare their elemental/enchancement and balance druid stats in both pve and pvp. [ Post edited by Dnightshadow ] Being able to fight back doesn't make any class overpowered. Crying about it, however, does tell alot about you... |
by Tharfor | 14/03/2008 17:17:27![]() A balance druid is essentially a ranged DPS class. There are other ranged DPS classes People who are looking for groups for PvE or PvP will have preferences over which roles need filled and which classes they wish to fill those roles. I think the fact that there are any balance druids filling any of these roles proves that they can be just as viable as other ranged DPS classes; the difference, I suspect, is that those balance druids in those roles have worked hard to prove their worth rather than simply expecting a slot "because it's not fair". A restoration druid, on the other hand, has a unique type of healing which is regularly sought, and occasionally required, by many groups. Feral druids can fill two different roles, so I would be interested to see which of those were chosen for their tanking abilities and which were chosen for their melee DPS abilities. Regardless of those numbers, there are less classes that can fill the role of melee DPS so logically speaking we would expect more druids to be chosen for those positions. "And you could have it all; my empire of dirt." |
