Account compromised maybe.. /look plz bliz
by Cyron | 29/11/2007 13:28:18 Howdy, now i got this thingie for you guys.. in my country i could do a payment method but seemed it failed.. So they had to suspend my account until i could buy a new subscription again, bu the problem was i could ONLY activate it with a credit card.. but my family doesnt have a credit card. So i asked around on msn and i found a guy in norway wich i have been friends with for some time, and he was willing to pay a 1month subscription of 13$, but now im afraid he could find out where i live or my full name for some reason.. i mean is it possible? Coz when i gave him my account information to set-up a subscription i did changed all my contat info in wrong info tough.. But does my real name appears on the Credi Card bill of that guy... Or does it only show my character name or something?.. And in the worst case if he calls blizzard, and asking if he could know the name (since its covered with ****** on your account form) are they getting it that easy?.. or do they need to give blizzard a answer first.. like something: ''what is your street adress?" by Issuntril | 29/11/2007 17:54:23 Hi Cyron, I think in this case you should be fine - most of your registered information is hidden from your account management page, even when adding a payment to the account, and you personal details will not be shown on the credit card statement of the person making the payment. Also, a person making a payment on your account for you will not be able to claim the account for themselves without passing several security checks, including your secret answer, CD key and address. For future reference, I would advise that if you need to perform this kind of action again, then you should do so without passing on your account information over to anyone, as this can ultimately compromise the security of your account.
