Hello,

Recently I came in touch with the Starcraft universe, and after watching a load of beta videos it interests me so much that I opted in for the Beta. There is one little problem, me and my brother both have all the games from the World of Warcraft series but we can't access the Starcraft 2 forum with it.

I already contacted Blizzard support asking if it is possible for owners of several WoW games can access the SC2 part of the forums, but unfortunately I received not a really clarifying answer (as a matter of fact I got pointed towards this very forum).

Reading a thread that has been made by a Blizzard employee on how to create a forum account it became clear that you can only access the SC2 forums if you:
1. own a Starcraft/Warcraft/Diablo game connected with your Battle.net account;
2. got lucky to receive a Beta invitation regarding SC2.

So my question/suggestion is: Can I access the Starcraft 2 forums while I only own the World of Warcraft series of all the Blizzard games? If not, why are the World of Warcraft games not sufficiënt enough to gain access to the Starcraft forum?

I still have hope to receive an invitation in my Battle.net account, but until that time has come I would appreciate it if I can discuss Starcraft 2 stuff with 'insiders'.

You can only log in to the StarCraft II General Discussion forums when you have a Legacy game associated with your Battle.net account (WarCraft III, SC, Diablo II etc). You can only log in to the StarCraft II Beta forums when you have a Battle.net account that is flagged for Beta access. A Battle.net account with only World of Warcraft associated to it will not grant access to either of the SCII forums, or classic Battle.net forums.
