About getting hacked and reimbursement
by Issuntril | 18/02/2008 14:55:49![]() Hi Juugu, Firstly, accounts do not have a one-per-time reimbursement chance - this is a policy which we agreed to be against our support mission, and was removed quite some time ago. We no longer have a set limit for item restorations for an account, and will only ever deny assistance to a player in the case of extreme carelessness or exploitation of our reimbursement policies. Finally, account and PC security is the responsibility of the account holder, and no one else. In over three years of WoW there has not been a single case of an account been compromised that could not in some way be attributed in some way to insufficient precautions on the user's part. An individual's PC security is something which Blizzard cannot be held accountable for, and all we can do is try to educate players on how to better protect their PC and accounts from malicious access. I would strongly recommend that you read the following useful and informative threads on PC and account security: ____- New Trojans found by Launcher http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=282518345 [Guide] How to REALLY avoid getting hacked. If you have any ideas which you think would be effective in increasing in-game security which we could implement ourselves, then please visit our Suggestion Forums at: http://forums.wow-europe.com/board.html?sid=1&forumId=10024 Issu ntril |
