We've updated and expanded the guide in this new version, to incorporate suggestions from the community, and in particular the new lore from the novel "Stormrage", whose events have "officially" already occurred, although the game world has yet to be updated to reflect this. There shouldn't be any post-Cataclysm lore in here; a few extra sentences and paragraphs, including a section on "Night Elf mages", will be added to reflect the new situation once the expansion goes live. Greetings aspiring fiction writers!

As some of you may have noticed, we recently launched the Gadgetzan Times; an online chronicle containing player submitted fan fictions. It is with this in mind that we are proud to invite you to submit and share your fan fictions with the rest of the community. The submission process is fairly simple; creative stories can be submitted either here on the forums – in the “Roleplaying” and the “Events and Fan Creations” sub-forums – provided the thread title contains a [GT] tag, or via the submission page which can be found on our website.

We are currently looking for the following fan-fiction types: Roleplaying stories, Chronicles of War (PvE or PvP inspired fan fiction), or even humorous classifieds. We would also like to remind everyone that submissions must follow our general guidelines, and be about the World of Warcraft universe, in order to be eligible.
